神戸港の開港とともに、世界各国の人々が往来するようになった港町神戸。まだまだ肉食の文化が日本に広まる前の頃、外国人のご用達のホテルやレストランへ牛肉を納めていました。

現在は元町に店を構えておりますが、当初は神戸の中国人街「南京町」に店があり、近くには神戸港に船をつけた外国船のクルー達を相手にした外国人バーなどもたくさんあり、現在よりもエキゾチックな雰囲気を醸しだしていました。

2代目平井幸義が現在の元町1丁目に店を移転し、一度は戦災で倒壊しましたが戦後数年で立て直しました。

一般の日本人にも神戸ビーフ（神戸牛・神戸肉）のおいしさを知ってもらいたいと「神戸肉流通推進協議会」の副理事に就任し、(現在は当社の会長（三代目社長）　平井力が任についております。）精力的に神戸ビーフ（神戸牛・神戸肉）をアピールしてきました。

品質重視の姿勢、地元でしっかりとお客様との信頼関係を築いてきた実績から、 皇室への御料理肉を献上という栄誉をいただきました。

昭和３１年に天皇皇后両陛下が第１１回国民体育大会に砌に献上いたしましたのを始めに、 その後、幾度かの献上の機会を得ることができました。

牛の飼育には大きく２つの牧場に分かれます。一つは仔牛を生産する牧場と、もう一つは成牛まで育てる肥育牧場です。

日本の有名なブランド牛の素牛となる但馬牛の仔牛をこの生産牧場で買っていき、地元の肥育牧場で育てています。

当社では、この仔牛の生産から肥育まで行う生産一貫体制をしいて、牛の販売だけでなく生産から携わり、おいしい肉の研究をしています。

もちろん自社だけの牛の頭数では足りないので、一般の市場（セリ）や共励会での購入もしています。
